Mpumalanga Aluglass

Mpumalanga Aluglass is a Lowveld-based company, involved since 1994 in manufacturing and installing aluminium and glass products. This includes aluminium doors and windows; shopfronts; folding frameless glass doors; skylights; roller shutter doors; a variety of shower enclosures, both standard and custom designed and made to client specifications; and general glazing, with the emphasis on industrial glazing. We are a close corporation, and employ a staff of 18 of whom 14 are directly involved in manufacturing and installation.

We have successfully completed numerous projects in the Lowveld, including Huson’s Panelbeaters, Conway Industrial Clothing, Hi-Q and Niche Bottled Water, all at Riverside Industrial Park, the new office block adjacent to the Government buildings as well as the new Toyota Dealership in Nelspruit. We were also involved in the additions to Singita Game Lodge, and Earth, Bush and Riverside Lodges, Sabi Sabi. Work on the lodges included the installation of up-market showers, skylights and innovative glassworks. We also manufactured and installed several shopfronts at the Riverside Mall, as well as doing the installation of large areas of wall and ceiling mirrors, and glass.

Shopping complexes at Elukwatini, Komatipoort and Kamaqhekeza; most of which included automated frameless doors, industrial roller shutter and security doors, are our work; as are various banks, including ABSA Malelane and Standard Nelspruit, which involved our own design and manufacture of revolving entrance doors. Our recent projects have been an Engen Filling Station, windows, doors and showers for an 81 unit townhouse complex, and an office building which includes glass facades.

We have recently entered the drywalling and ceiling market after having sent our staff on a certified training course conducted by La Farge Gypsum. We have just completed our first project with great success. We are the accredited agents for all Xpanda products which include high quality security doors and gates, and roller shutter doors. We are also the agents for Hunter-Douglas and as such can provide aluminium awnings, louvres and wall cladding. We can supply and install all these products and also provide a repair and maintenance service. The Cornerstar flyscreen, an upmarket, quality flyscreen, is also one of our products.

Our workshop is the largest manufacturing facility in Nelspruit, with the most up-to-date machinery. This, coupled with our excellent credit facilities, enables us to undertake any large project in this area. The driving force behind our success and good reputation is our service, quality workmanship, after sales support, and competitive prices. Good customer relations are of the utmost importance to us, and we pride ourselves on the good name we have made for ourselves. We are members of the South African Glass and Glazing Association (SAGGA) and also the Association of Architectural Aluminium Manufacturers of South Africa (AAAMSA). These two bodies govern minimum standards and quality of glass and aluminium products, and one can only become a member of either after stringent testing of the products and manufacturing processes. We are proud to say that we hold the highest number of approved products in the Lowveld.
